Welcome to Leaping Rabbit!
Leaping Rabbit Orchard is the home of Jon and Tracey Campbell. They live on 12 acres in Kitsap Co WA. Building upon the foundation laid by several generations of farmers, they seek to enrich the soil, restore native plant and wildlife species, and practice organic and sustainable farming.
Tracey is a Potter and Artist and Jon is a Wood Worker and Engineer. They enjoy canning and pickling, maple tapping and beekeeping and are looking forward to expanding their farm with goats and ducks!
We chose the name Leaping Rabbit because we decided to take a chance and completely change our lives, taking the leap so to speak, and from the rabbits that call our land home. It’s such a joy to see them munching the grass in the late afternoon sun. Watching the little ones in the spring slowly venture farther out into the yard; they’re like an extension of our family. We leave sections of the lawn unmown so they always have food and we don’t mind at all if they munch down the raspberries. They were here first, after all. – Tracey
